AUG 1928) Mr. Archie Begley
and Miss Lila Boyer were married at St. Paul, Minn., Wednesday,
Aug. 25, 1928. The groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. George Begley of Neillsville, Clark County,
Wis. He graduated from Neillsville High School in the class of 1924
and from River Falls State Teachers College in 1927. He has been
engaged as principal of the high school at Long Lake, Florence Co.,
for the coming year and will take up his duties there next week. He
is a young man who has grown up here with a fine reputation and has
been an earnest student and ambitious in every way to make the best
of his opportunities. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Boyer of this city. She graduated
from Oshkosh High School in 1924. Soon after she entered the law
office of Attorney F. D. Calway, working there until 1926, when she
had positions in Milwaukee and Oshkosh, returning her again to Mr.
Calway's office, where she is still employed, and will remain until
October, planning to go to Long Lake to begin housekeeping as soon
as a home can be secured after Oct. 1. A reception and
shower were held at the home of the bride's parents Sunday evening
and many fine presents were bestowed. The Press joins
the many friends of this fine young couple in wishing them
